What are these committees? And what do they do?

Next, to a board of eight members, ESN Malmö also is being supported by five committees that are all different in their activities. Being part of a committee is a great way to enrich your student life without giving away too much of your time. The most important goal is to create a great study environment for all students at MAH and to have fun in the process of doing it. Let us introduce you to the five wonderful committees that are awaiting you here in Malmö.

Culture Committee

The Culture Committee is a group of enthusiastic individuals that are interested in exploring all the best that Malmö or Sweden, in general, has to offer and to convert it into fun student activities. You can think about baking delicious Swedish goods, seasonal activities such as ice-skating, mushroom/berry picking, city tripping or hiking in the beautiful national parks. The committee falls under the supervision of one of our activity managers but creating the content and being in charge of the planning will all be in your own hands.

Social Inclusion Committee

Being part of the Social Inclusion Committee means that you are striving to create an inclusive study environment for all students. Moreover, you are also the bridge between the students and the local charity organisations in Malmö with the mission to leave a positive impact on the local community. Example activities or projects could involve refugees, migrants, the elderly, high school or elementary school students, people with disabilities, minorities or vulnerable groups whose lives you could affect in a positive manner. The committee falls under the supervision of our Project Coordinator but creating the content and being in charge of the planning will all be in your own hands.

PR Committee

Are you more interested in graphic design, photography, writing, social media or filmmaking? Then the PR committee is a great way to unleash creative energy and turn it into projects such as blogs, vlogs, podcasts, posters or other online/offline campaigns. Your work will gain visibility on campus as well as on our social media platforms meaning that you will reach students all over Europe (and further). The committee falls under the supervision of our Communication Manager but creating the content and being in charge of the planning will all be in your own hands.

Party Committee

Once a month, ESN Malmö throws a big party where all students are welcome to relax, to dance and to meet. To make it even more fun each party is given a different theme which the Party Committee will be responsible for. This committee is also in charge of decorations, activities related to the theme during the party and of course, arranging the music (finding a DJ or being the DJ yourself). The committee falls under the supervision of one of our Activity Managers but creating the content and being in charge of the planning will all be in your own hands.

Pub Quiz Committee

Next, to our monthly parties, we also organize monthly Pub Quiz nights at the Student Pub. The Pub Quiz Committee is responsible for delivering the quiz and organising a fun and chill evening at the pub. You are encouraged to think outside the box; themed quizzes, music quizzes or other creative ways to challenge the mind, nothing is too silly as long as you are enjoying it. By the way, did we also mentioned that you can reward the winners of the quiz by picking out cool prices? How cool is that! The committee falls under the supervision of our Vice President but creating the content and being in charge of the planning will all be in your own hands.
